David Mazur is an evangelist, missionary, and ministry mobilizer with a passion to equip and mobilize the local church to fulfill the Great Commission. Based in San Diego, David believes the local church is God’s primary vehicle for bringing the love of Christ and the truth of Scripture into communities—and that when ordinary believers are encouraged, equipped, and given practical opportunities to serve, the harvest can multiply.

David’s passion for evangelism began as a teenager and deepened during his years at UC San Diego, where he began gathering fellow students and church members to organize missions conferences, evangelistic events, and short-term mission trips. After earning his degree in Human Biology, David originally planned to pursue medicine and use his career to serve on the mission field. Instead, he sensed God inviting him to surrender that dream and devote his life more fully to missions, evangelism, and disciple-making.

That calling soon became wonderfully practical. A simple encounter with an elderly man living alone without adequate light opened David’s eyes to needs throughout an apartment community. One act of compassion grew into an outreach involving local churches, worship, food, prayer, gospel proclamation, and ongoing discipleship. From there, the ministry multiplied into apartment outreaches, elderly ministry, Good News Kids Clubs, a food bank, evangelistic outreaches in public high schools, and citywide gatherings designed to reach and encourage young people. Eventually, David and his team were serving students across eight high schools while mobilizing volunteers from churches throughout the community.

Today, David is bringing that same entrepreneurial and evangelistic spirit to San Diego. His vision is to remove barriers and equip churches to engage their own communities. Through elderly ministry, evangelism training, a guitar club that develops musicians for outreach, free access to sound equipment, and the Citywide Gospel Campaign, which is a long-term systematic approach to preach the gospel to every house in San Diego and Sacramento within 20 years! David is creating practical tools that activate believers to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

David brings to this calling significant experience in leadership, volunteer mobilization, event planning, communication, and entrepreneurship. His professional career has required him to build relationships, enter new markets, identify opportunities, and develop initiatives from the ground up—abilities that complement his gifts in evangelism, teaching, leadership, administration, and music.

At the heart of it all is a simple conviction: the Church already possesses tremendous God-given potential to reach its community. Sometimes it simply needs someone to encourage, equip, organize, and mobilize God’s people into the harvest.

As David develops this ministry in San Diego—with a longer-term vision of multiplying these efforts into Sacramento and beyond—he is building a team of prayer and financial partners who share his passion to equip believers, mobilize churches, make disciples, and proclaim the gospel.
